With Revel, you can create and edit customer records directly on the Point of Sale. You can also track and view a customer's purchase history, gift card balance, rewards balance, or House Account balance on the Point of Sale.

Creating a New Customer on the Point of Sale

To create a new customer on the Point of Sale:

  1. From the dashboard, tap Manage Customers in the bottom navigation bar:

  2. Tap Add in the upper right area:

  3. In the Add New screen, fill out the required fields (First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number) along with any other relevant details. Scroll down to view all the fields. After filling out the customer's information, lower the keyboard and tap Save:


Creating a New Customer While Taking an Order

To create a new customer while taking an order:

  1. Tap New Order.
  2. Tap the headshot icon in the top left corner:

  3. Tap +Add New in the upper left area:

  4. In the Add New screen, fill out the required fields (First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number), along with any other relevant details. Scroll down to view all the fields. After filling out the customer's information, lower the keyboard and tap Save:


Viewing a Customer's Order History on the Point of Sale

  1. You can view a customer's order history on the Point of Sale in two ways: through Manage Customers and through New Order.
    • Manage Customers: From the dashboard, tap Manage Customers in the bottom navigation area. Locate the customer you want to view. Select their name and choose View Past Orders:

    • New Order: From the New Order screen, tap the headshot icon in the top left corner. Add a customer to the order. Tap the headshot icon again and tap View Past Orders:

  2. From the next window, choose from:
      • Display All Orders - All orders from the selected customer.
      • Display House Account Payments - Payments tendered on the customer's house account balance.
      • Display Outstanding Invoices - Open invoices sent to the customer.


  3. You will see a list of all past orders, based on your display order choice. To view more details for a specific order, tap the blue > next to the order. From here, you can Reorder the items in a past order or Open a past order to view that order's details:

  4. Tap Cancel to close the screen.

Editing a Customer's Information on the Point of Sale

  1. You can edit a customer's information on the Point of Sale in two ways: through Manage Customers and through New Order.
    • Manage Customers: From the dashboard, tap Manage Customers in the bottom navigation area. Locate the customer you want to edit. Select their name and tap Edit in the upper right hand corner:

    • New Order: From the New Order screen, tap the headshot icon in the top left corner. Add a customer to the order. Tap the headshot icon again and tap Edit:

  2. To edit basic details such as name, phone number, or email, locate the correct field and adjust the information. After editing, tap Save in the upper right corner.
  3. Existing Gift Cards, Rewards Cards, and House Account balances are all viewable by default. To unlink a gift card or rewards card from the customer, tap the X button next to the card balance and confirm. To link a gift card to the customer, tap +Add Gift Card or +Add Rewards Card. Here, you can either swipe a plastic gift card (for gift cards only) on your credit card swipe or tap Manual and enter the gift card or rewards card number. Once the gift card or rewards card is successfully linked, you will see it under Manage Gift Cards or Manage Rewards Cards:

  4. To view detailed information about the customer's House Account balance, scroll down to House Account and tap Outstanding Balance. The left side of the screen shows all Unpaid House Account Activity by order as well as the House Account balance total. If the customer wants to make a partial or full payment, enter the Amount Tendered and then select the correct payment method. Tap Done to close the screen:

  5. Tap Cancel to exit the Edit Customer screen without saving any changes.
