Migrating Your QuickBooks Desktop Account to Online
- Set up a QBO Account: You will need to setup an account with QuickBooks Online. You can do so directly from their website here or for further assistance, contact Sean McCaffery at email@example.com.

Removing Your QuickBooks Desktop Integration
- Open your QuickBooks Desktop Sync Application.
- Click the 3 arrows:
- On your computer, go to Start, Control Panel, then Uninstall a Program.
- Select Quickbooks POS Sync by Revel.
- Click Uninstall.
Connecting Your QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Accounts
To use the same account types for QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online integrations, you must adjust your account types and detail types in QuickBooks Online. Otherwise the account types and detail types will not match the integration requirements after migrating your company file.
Follow these steps to select the correct account types and detail types. If you're using different account types for QuickBooks Online, skip to the next section.
- In QuickBooks Online, navigate to Accounting > Chart of Accounts.
- For each account in the QuickBooks Mapping Account Types guide, search for the account type or subtype. Click the arrow and select Edit:
- Select the correct account type and detail for each account:
- Click Save and Close.
