Offline Tills Management

Overview

Offline tills management allows users to close and make minor tweaks to existing tills from the Tills Report in the Management Console. This can be useful for if tills were incorrectly counted or if the employee forgot to close the till at the end of day. The amount in bank drop and safe can also be modified.

All actions done to tills from the Management Console will be recorded into the Action Log.

Enable Offline Tills Management

By default, this feature is turned off. In order to turn it on, please follow the directions below.

  1. Log into Revel Management Console
  2. Click Settings -> Advanced -> Payments -> Enable “Offline Tills Management”
  3. Hit “Save” at bottom of page

 

Manage Tills in Management Console

Once a till has been opened on the iPad POS, it can be modified from the Tills Report.

  1. Log into Revel Management Console
  2. Click Reports -> Other Reports -> Tills Report
  3. Select the time frame and filters at the top right
  4. Select the pencil icon for the desired till to manage
  1. If the till has been closed already, client may edit the declared cash and amount in bank drop
  2. If the till is held or still open, client may declare cash and amount in bank drop then close the till
  1. Enter in the required remark field
  2. Select “Save” or “Close Till” to complete

Note: Not recommended to close a live till during business hours. If closed, employees at cash register will need to create a brand new till.

 

Action Log

Each time anything is adjusted manually via the Offline Tills Management, it will be logged into the Action Log report.
