We encourage you to refer to the information in this Getting Started section as you're guided through the process. You can also check back later for a quick brush-up!
Before you get there, though, you may need to:
- Provision your iPad.
- Add POS login permissions via the Management Console.
- Grant employee login PINs.
(If you're able to log in to your iPad POS now, these items have already been taken care of on your behalf, and you should skip to our Tills page).
If you're not yet able to log in to your iPad, the sections below walk you through these prerequisites.
Provisioning Your iPad(s)
Your Onboarding Concierge will show you how to provision your iPad to link it to your brand and establishment (your brand is your Management Console subdomain, the first part of the URL in [yoursubdomain].revelup.com). This needs to be done only once per iPad. More information
Enabling "Manager" Permissions
You should already have at least one employee (this employee can also be you, the owner) in the Management Console, but if not, you should add one now. You'll need to have at least one employee with a PIN to log in to the iPad.
For the purposes of this tour, we recommend that you grant the employee Manager Access. To do this:
- Log in to the Management Console ([yoursubdomain].revelup.com).
- Use the Employees button in the gray header bar to switch to that tab.
- Click Role Permissions, locate the column with the employee's role, and double-click the box in the Manager Access row. This will check all permissions in the Manager Access category.
While you're there, you should also make sure the employee's role has the Login/Logout permission checked. Be sure to click Save to lock in your changes.
Granting iPad-App PINs
Finally, your employee (again, this "employee" can be the owner) needs a PIN to unlock the Revel iPad app. You can grant one in the Management Console via Employees > > PIN.
