By integrating with Expensify, Revel is giving end users who purchase goods and services from a Revel client’s point-of-sale the ability to send receipts directly to Expensify, skipping the inbox entirely.
Upon forwarding the receipt to Expensify from Revel’s POS, the merchant name, date, and receipt amount are immediately SmartScanned with Expensify’s patented OCR technology, creating an associated expense within Expensify. Transactions made with debit or credit cards will then be auto-categorized.
The integration is a breeze to set up. Just:
- Log in to your Management Console ([yoursubdomain].revelup.com).
- Switch to the Settings tab.
- Click Classic View.
- Click Advanced POS Settings, then click Receipts.
- Check the box next to Allow Customers to Send Receipts to Expensify, then save the change.
After you check the box to Allow Customers to Send Receipts to Expensify, your customers will be able to tap a new Expensify button in the Print Receipt window on the iPad POS:
After they tap Expensify, customers will then enter the email attached to their Expensify account, and their receipt will automatically be available there for their expense reports.
