Merchants can choose to set up credit card processing with Vantiv (formerly Mercury). Since Vantiv functions as both a processor and a gateway, there is no need to set up a separate gateway account or incur applicable gateway fees.
Once the merchant sets up their account, Vantiv will automatically send our Payment Processing team a Dealer Letter. The following credentials must be included in the Dealer Letter:
- Merchant ID
- Web Service Password
- Hosted Checkout Manual Entry Terminal ID
Once payment processing has been set up, instructions to perform a test credit card transaction will be sent to you.
To explore Vantiv as an option, visit www.mercury.com to fill out an application. Please be sure to indicate Revel Systems as your POS, and inform your sales rep. about your desired gateway during the sales process.
Vantiv will provide Revel with the dealer letter once your account has been activated (you can reach out to Vantiv to request that they send the dealer letter to firstname.lastname@example.org if they haven't already done so).
To set up manual credit card processing, the final credential needed is the hosted checkout password. This password can be generated in one of the following two ways:
- Contact Vantiv and give permissions to email@example.com to create a Hosted Checkout Password.
- Log in to your Vantiv account and create a password by clicking on Account Settings > Hosted Checkout > Management. Once created, hit Save and please send it to the Revel Payment Processing team (firstname.lastname@example.org).
