Enabling Consumer Marketing Opt-in/out & Logging

You can offer your customers the ability to Opt In or Opt Out of your marketing emails, texts, and mailings. Once enabled, this feature will allow your customers to opt in or out of saving personal information such as their email address, home address, and phone number.

NOTE: Contact Support to enable this feature. Once the feature is enabled you'll be able to select it on the Settings tab.


Enabling Consumer Opt-In/Out & Logging

  1. On the Management Console ([yoursubdomain].revelup.com) go to the Settings tab.
  2. Click Clear Selections.
  3. Type consumer in the search field.
  4. In the left-hand window, click the checkbox labeled Consumer Marketing Opt-in/out & Logging to access the setting.
  5. In the right-hand window click the checkbox labeled Consumer Marketing Opt-in/out & Logging to enable the feature.
  6. Click Save:


Opt-In/Out on the Management Console

  1. Go to the CRM tab.
  2. Click the icon in line with the name of the customer, or add a new customer.
  3. Scroll down to Marketing Opt-In/Out.
  4. There are three drop-down menus under Marketing Opt-In/Out: EmailPhone/SMS and Mail. To change a customer's preference click the appropriate drop-down and select Opt In or Opt Out.
  5. Click Save:


Opt-In/Out on the Point of Sale

  1. On your Point of Sale, tap Manage Customers:


  2. Scroll and tap to select a customer name or add a new customer.
  3. Tap Edit:


  4. Scroll down to Marketing Opt In/Out.
  5. Here, you can select to Opt In or Opt Out for Email, Phone/SMS or Post:
  6. Click Save


Action Logs for Changes

Every time a change is made to the Marketing Opt In/Out settings on a CRM entry, the changes will be tracked in your Action Log. (Learn more about Action Log reports)

  1. On the management console, go to the Reports tab.
  2. Hover your mouse pointer over Other Reports and click Action Log:
